Is berry tea good for you?

Berry tea can be a beneficial addition to one's diet due to its rich antioxidant content. Berries are known for their high levels of antioxidants, such as flavonoids and polyphenols, which have been linked to various health benefits. These antioxidants help protect the body from oxidative stress and inflammation, which are associated with chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer. Additionally, berry tea is often low in calories and can be a good source of hydration. However, it's important to note that the specific health benefits of berry tea can vary depending on the types of berries used and how the tea is prepared. As with any food or beverage, moderation is key to incorporating berry tea into a balanced diet for optimal health benefits.

How to brew:

Tea: 1 heaped teaspoon | Water temp: 100°C | Brewing Time: 4-5 minutes.

Method:

Prepare a full-flavoured cup with deep berry notes by bringing filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place one heaped teaspoon of the loose fruit blend for every 200–260ml of water into your cup or teapot. Pour the boiling water over the ingredients, cover, and allow to infuse for 4 to 5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength. While a longer steep increases the character, we recommend increasing the amount of the tea rather than the steeping time to avoid any bitterness.

Goes well with:
Lemon or sugar.

Pro tip:
Don't just keep this for the teapot! Because it's naturally caffeine-free and bold, it makes an incredible "zingy mocktail." Try brewing it as a cold concentrate, then topping it with sparkling lemonade or soda water for a beautiful, family-friendly summer drink.
