Black tea contains polyphenols, a type of antioxidant. Caffeine and an amino acid called L-theanine are also found in black tea, which is said can improve alertness and focus – even more than coffee!

How to brew:
Tea: 1 teabag | Water temp: 100°C | Brewing Time: 4-5 minutes.
Method:
Begin by bringing filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil to capture the body and full flavour of this classic West Country breakfast blend. Use one teabag for every 200–260ml of water into your cup or teapot. Pour the boiling water over the bag, cover, and allow to infuse for an optimum time of 4 to 5 minutes. While the tea can be steeped for up to 7 minutes for a stronger taste, we recommend adding an extra bag rather than the steeping time to avoid bitterness.
Goes well with:
Milk, sugar or lemon.

This blend was specifically designed and tested using local West Country water to ensure its character shines through. For the ultimate "dose of West-Country love," pre-warm your teapot and let the leaves steep for 4-5 minutes. While it’s delicious on its own, it’s most traditionally enjoyed with a splash of milk to complement those creamy, malty notes!
