The Blend
A classic, well-loved tea that needs little introduction, our Earl Grey blend is delicately scented with Italian bergamot oil.
The Taste
A traditional black tea flavoured with oil of bergamot. This light tea has a delicate citrus aroma and a strong, fragrant taste.
The benefit
Black tea contains polyphenols, a type of antioxidant. Caffeine and an amino acid called L-theanine are also found in black tea, which is said can improve alertness and focus – even more than coffee!
The Moment
Feeling stressed and overwhelmed? This could be the tea blend for you. The oil of bergamot in this blend is said to calm the mind and improve mood, so this is a delightful tea to relax with after a long day at work.
The Creation
Using traditional methods of blending and tasting, this tea has been carefully crafted by the Miles team, using Miles experTeas!
Based on the edge of Exmoor and on Somerset’s coastline, we take inspiration from our beautiful surroundings to create a cuppa that embodies a little escape, evoking memories of a holiday in the West Country, with each sip. Our attention to detail and experience ensures a consistent, flavourful tea that will see you constantly topping up your mug.
We are founding members of the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP). The ETP is a not-for-profit organisation, which convenes tea companies, developing agencies, governmental and non-governmental organisations to improve the lives of communities within the tea sector. Each purchase directly helps to provide better living and working conditions for those working in the tea trade.

How to brew:
Tea: 1 teabag | Water temp: 100°C | Brewing Time: 4-5 minutes.
Method:
Capture the unbelievable aroma and world-class citrus flavour of this premium Earl Grey by bringing filtered or freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Use one teabag for every 200–260ml of water into your cup or teapot. Pour the boiling water over the bag, cover, and allow to infuse for an optimum time of 4-5 minutes. While the tea can be steeped for up to 7 minutes for a stronger taste, we recommend adding an extra bag rather than the steeping time to avoid bitterness.
Goes well with:
Milk, sugar or lemon.
Pro tip:
Turn your afternoon tea into a café-style treat by making a 'London Fog.' Brew a strong cup of this Earl Grey for five minutes to let that unbelievable bergamot aroma shine. Instead of just adding a splash of cold milk, stir in a drop of vanilla extract and top it with a thick layer of frothed warm milk. The creamy texture perfectly complements the bright black tea for a truly indulgent experience.
