Ceylon is sourced from the tea plantations of Sri-Lanka, formerly Ceylon, which lie close to the equator, giving the perfect conditions for slowly growing this tea at high altitudes. This pack of loose leaf Ceylon, is considered one of the best tasting teas, with its distinct flavour, aroma and strength.
The taste
With its crisp aroma and pale, orange colour, this blend is best enjoyed with milk or a slice of lemon. Ceylon has a brisk, tiger balm flavour and is full of character.
The benefit
Black tea contains polyphenols, a type of antioxidant. Caffeine and an amino acid called L-theanine are also found in black tea, which is said can improve alertness and focus – even more than coffee!

How do you brew Ceylon tea?
Ceylon loose tea can be brewed to perfection by following a few simple steps. Begin by heating water to around 93°C, which is just below boiling point. Place about 1 teaspoon of Ceylon loose tea leaves per cup into a teapot or infuser. Pour the hot water over the tea leaves and let it steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength of tea. Once the desired brewing time has elapsed, strain the tea leaves and pour the brewed Ceylon tea into a cup. You can enjoy it plain or add milk, sugar, honey, or lemon according to your taste preferences. The result will be a delightful cup of Ceylon loose tea that is full of flavour and aroma.
