What are envelope tea bags?
Envelope tea bags, are simply individually packed tea bags inside some form of packaging which seals the tea bag on the inside – like an envelope. The benefit of these teabags is that they can be quickly placed into a cup or pot, with the string and tag dangled on the outside so that when the steeping is finish it is easy to simply remove. As they are completely airtight, the flavour and aroma of the tea is preserved nicely. They are a great option for taking away on holidays or on long journey’s where you can’t go without your favourite cuppa!
How do you brew envelope tea bags?
Brewing Miles’s envelope teabags is much the same as any other teabag, but perhaps even easier. Pop the kettle on and make sure the water starts to boil. Whilst this is happening you can unwrap the envelope and put the tea bag into your cup or pot. Make sure to hang the tag over the edge so that you can easily take the bag out later. Now your water has boiled, carefully fill your cup or pot with the boiling water, whilst holding the tag so that it doesn’t get pulled in. Please be careful when holding the tag to not burn yourself on the boiling water. You can now leave your bag in to steep for however long you’d like but likely 3-5 minutes is best, depending on how strong you like your brew. When ready, you can simply pull the teabag out using the string/tag and dispose of your teabag. Feel free to add in any milk, sugar or honey etc as you feel fit & enjoy!
What are the best envelope tea bags?
There are many well-known brands such as Twinings, Yorkshire Tea & PG Tips that make their own envelope teabags, however, in our humble opinion, Miles’ are the best. Our envelopes are bright & colourful, which means they look great even before you get the chance to enjoy the drink inside. Ranging across all types of tea from English breakfast to green to earl grey and many more, there is a choice for everyone! You may hear that some people prefer another brand and whilst we do respect the loyalty, we can only assume its because they’ve not yet tried Miles’ yet!
